Data security
To provide the highest level of security for your data, we implement comprehensive technical and organizational measures. We use encryption on our websites. You can usually recognize this by the closed padlock symbol in your browser's status bar and the "https://" at the beginning of the address bar.
Data processing:
Usage data
When you visit our website, we temporarily store so-called usage data based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. We use this usage data for statistical purposes to improve the quality of our website. We also use this information to enable access to our website, for the control and administration of our systems, and to improve the design of the website. These purposes also constitute the legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. The data set consists of:
- The name and address of the requested content
- The date and time of the query
- The amount of data transferred
- The access status (content transmitted, content not found)
- The description of the web browser and operating system used
- The referral link, which indicates from which page you came to ours
In addition, we store the complete IP address transmitted by your web browser for a strictly limited period of seven days in order to be able to recognize, limit, and eliminate attacks on our websites. After this period, we delete or anonymize the IP address.
Cookie usage
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored and read by your internet browser on your computer's system. They allow us to store information for a certain period of time and to identify your computer. This makes navigation easier and makes our website more user-friendly. Cookies also help us identify particularly popular areas of our website. We distinguish between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session.
Some cookies are necessary for the use of our website. We do not use these cookies for analysis, tracking, or advertising purposes. In some cases, these cookies contain only information about specific settings and are not personal data. They may also be necessary to enable user guidance, security, and the implementation of the site. We use these cookies on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in being able to offer basic functions of the website and to ensure the maintenance of functionality.
You can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You can also delete cookies at any time via the corresponding browser setting and prevent the setting of new cookies. Please note that our websites may then not be displayed correctly and some functions may no longer be technically available.
Consent banner
We use a consent management platform (cookie banner) on our website. The processing in connection with the use of the consent management platform and the logging of your settings is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, in our legitimate interest to play our content according to your preferences and to be able to prove your given consent(s). Your settings, the consents given, and parts of your usage data are stored in a cookie. This ensures that it remains for subsequent page requests and your consents can continue to be traced. Further information can be found under the heading "Cookie Usage"
The provider of the consent management platform acts as a strictly bound processor (data processor) for us. A data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR has been concluded.
Contact
You can get in touch with us by mail, phone, email, or through the contact form on our website. When using the contact form, please provide the required information. Your data will be deleted after your query has been fully addressed, unless we are legally required to keep it. We process your data based on our legitimate interest in communicating with our website users and responding to their inquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If your inquiry relates to entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR also applies. You have the right to object to this processing at any time. Please contact the email address provided in the imprint.
Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode V2 (Basic Mode). This means that regardless of your settings in the banner, your IP address will be transmitted to Google. However, Google immediately deletes this data after collection and does not log it. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in being able to better control and use certain features of the consent-dependent Google services used on the website. The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. For more information about Google Consent Mode, please refer to https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9976101.
Website traffic measurement
To tailor our website to your needs, we use web analytics tools. These tools create user profiles based on pseudonymous data. To do this, we store and read permanent cookies on your device. Additionally, we may collect identifiers for your browser or device (e.g., a browser fingerprint or your full IP address). This allows us to recognize and count returning visitors.
Furthermore, we use the following features as part of our visitor measurement:
- Enrichment of data: We supplement the pseudonymous data with additional information provided by third-party providers. This enables us to gather demographic data about our visitors, such as age, gender, and location.
- Mouse tracking: We employ a method to track and analyze your mouse movements on our website.
- Behavioral analysis: Using contextual data, including your browsing history on other websites with activated cookies, we create exploratory click paths and analyze browsing behavior.
Data processing is based on your consent, which you can provide by accepting our cookie banner. You can revoke your consent at any time by following this link and adjusting your settings via our banner.
